BILLING MANAGER

Well-established medical Institute in Newport Beach invites you to join our team as a Billing Manager. This is an exciting, full-time position for a professional with a strong background in management, customer service and a good understanding of the billing process. We are searching for an individual with a minimum of 5-7 years of’ experience in streamlining billing and collections, and process improvement who enjoys being part of a team.

This position is responsible for leading and planning the billing operations. The individual is responsible for designing, implementing and enforcing policies and procedures, as well as streamlining effective billing processes across multiple markets. This position is highly visible and requires a strong leader with the ability to prioritize, plan and direct the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and streamline billing and collections process
  • Plan and implement quality assurance for all processes
  • Billing planning and implementation
  • Personnel development; staff meetings
  • Staffing discussions and planning/interviews; team building
  • Customer service and billing inquiries
  • Communicates in a professional manner by investigating issues, conflicts and problems to provide resolution in a timely manner
  • Assist with the implementation of a new billing system
  • Maintain billing policies and procedures and update, as needed
  • Assist with process improvement and automation of projects
  • Month-end closing of the billing information
  • Monthly review, analysis and reconciliation of billing data

Qualifications:

  • Five to seven years of experience that demonstrates knowledge of generally accepted billing principles and practices; OR Degree in Medical Billing/Coding, Accounting and relevant work experience; OR an appropriate combination of education and experience that demonstrates possession of the knowledge and skill equivalent to that outlined in the above
  • College degree in accounting/finance/business management preferred
  • Knowledge of billing procedures necessary to verify and determine problem areas or irregularities and recommend solutions
  • Ability to acquire and apply a knowledge of the principles, policies and operating details of the billing system
  • Knowledge of eClinicalWorks a plus
