Well-established Institute in Newport Beach is seeking a professional and organized self-starter to join our team as the Human Resources (HR) Representative. The HR Representative is responsible for building and establishing HR resources while providing exceptional service and support of organization growth to approximately 40 employees. The ideal candidate will contribute both hands-on and strategic levels to cultivate our culture.

This is an exciting, part-time position for a professional to perform activities in human resources from recruiting new hires to retaining existing hires.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manages and implements general human resource duties
  • Effectively maintains human resources needs for the practice
  • Consults with Executive Director regarding clinical staff as warranted
  • Provide management with requested reports and documents
    Leads Clinical and non-Clinical recruiting initiatives (Screen, recruit, and interview potential employees)
  • On-board and train new employees
  • Implement company culture, values, and policies
  • Oversees payroll processing
  • Coordinates methods to ensure employee satisfaction
    Coordinate events focused on employee recognition
  • Drives and manages needs associated with Employee Recognition Program(s)
  • Accurately maintain employee files

Qualifications
Education and Experience:

  • College degree preferred in human resources, social sciences or business administration
  • Degree emphasis in health-care administration highly desired
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a Human Resources position with prior interdisciplinary experience; medical field preferred
  • Demonstrated history of workforce planning and development, training, compensation/benefits, human resource management, employee health and safety and labor law
  • Knowledge of California labor and employment laws
  • Strong work ethic and a minimum of two (2) year stable work experience
  • Human Resources certification (i.e., PHR, SPHR, GPHR) a plus

  • Excellent organizational skills, follow-through and ability to meet deadlines
  • Proven and verifiable track record of dependability
  • Must demonstrate strong ability to identify, analyze and solve problems
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient computer skills with an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Pass a criminal background check and/or a drug screen

Pay Rate: $25-$30/hour – up to 20 hours per week
